DDI Conservatory Program Supplemental Daytime Training for Serious Dancers
The DDI Conservatory Program provides supplemental, daytime pre professional training for dancers ages 11 to 20 who are already enrolled in an Intensive Training Program and seeking more rigorous development. This director approved program adds focused instruction that strengthens technique, builds endurance, and supports long term advancement through disciplined, professional level training.
About the DDI Conservatory
The DDI Conservatory is a specialized training program designed for high achieving dancers who require additional instruction beyond their primary Intensive Training Program. While originally developed for DDI students, the Conservatory is open to serious dancers from any intensive program, provided placement is approved by a DDI Director.
Training is delivered during the daytime and adds five hours of structured weekly instruction. The program is intentionally supplemental, allowing dancers to deepen technical consistency, physical stamina, and artistic clarity while maintaining continuity in their primary training environment.

Prerequisites & Expected Skill Level
Dancers must be actively enrolled in an Intensive Training Program, whether at DDI or another accredited academy. Students should demonstrate a solid technical foundation, particularly in ballet and contemporary movement, and the ability to sustain focus and energy in extended classes. Placement is determined through director evaluation to ensure appropriate alignment and continued progression.
Opportunities & Long Term Outlook
The Conservatory supports dancers pursuing collegiate programs, advanced intensives, and professional training pathways. Through disciplined instruction and stylistic versatility, dancers gain preparation that translates to higher education and professional performance environments.
How to Join the Conservatory
Admission to the DDI Conservatory is director approved. Interested dancers should schedule a conversation with a DDI Director to review training background, goals, and readiness. Evaluations may occur during regular classes to assess technique, work ethic, and overall preparedness. Approved dancers receive guidance on enrollment and scheduling.
